Hi do you have a pattern for a half daisy granny square – I want to make a cardi from them?
Creating a half daisy granny square for a cardi is a fantastic idea! But unfortunately I do not have a pattern for that. Good luck with your project😊
Thank you so much for this ! As a beginner, this was very easy to follow and I am in love with how my daisy square turned out !
Thank you so much for your kind words. im so glad to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial 🥰
I absolutely Love the Daisy Granny Square! As a lefty, I taught myself to crochet many years ago and have recently picked it back up. I was never great at it but I manage. 😉 On this pattern you say 20-30 grams of 3 colors. Is that for just 1 granny square? I am planning on making 16-20 squares for a small “pet” blanket. I’m not concerned about softness for a baby blanket but I need help in deciding what size yarn and how many ounces or grams you suggest for a blanket that size? For instance, I am currently working on a project using a worsted weight acrylic nylon blend and I’m fine with the feel of it. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance and for the easy to follow instructions!
I’m thrilled to hear that you love the Daisy Granny Square pattern! For your project, aiming to make 16-20 squares for a small “pet” blanket, you’ll want to calculate how much yarn you’ll need for the entire blanket.
Since you’re comfortable with worsted weight acrylic nylon blend yarn, you can estimate the total yardage needed by multiplying the yardage per square by the number of squares you plan to make.
For example, if one square requires 20-30 grams of yarn, you can estimate the yardage used for one square based on the yardage of the yarn you’re using. Let’s say it’s approximately 100 yards per 100 grams (this can vary depending on the specific yarn). If you’re using 20 grams per square, that’s about 20% of 100 yards, so roughly 20 yards per square. Then you’d multiply that by the number of squares you plan to make to get the total yardage needed.
Once you have the total yardage needed, you can purchase the appropriate amount of yarn for your project. It’s always a good idea to buy a little extra to account for any discrepancies or if you decide to add extra rows or borders to your blanket.
I’m glad you find the instructions easy to follow! If you have any further questions or need more assistance, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 🌼🧶
Hi, I love your pattern, I have always wanted to learn how to make a daisy granny square. However, I have discovered that the written pattern does not describe the end of the square in round 3, it ends with the chain 1 and does not have the instructions for the final 3 triple crochet to finish the last corner. I have figured it out by watching the video and the squares are turning out to be great.
Thank you for your comment, and I’m delighted to hear that you’re enjoying the pattern! I’m glad to hear that you were able to figure it out by watching the video and that your squares are turning out well.
