- 5 mm. Crochet Hook

- CH – Chain
- SL ST – Slip Stitch
- DC – Double Crochet
- TRC – Treble Crochet
Instructions
CH 4. Join the row with a SL ST into the first ST. You now have a small circle to work your stitches into.
Round 1. CH 4. ( the CH 4 will cound as a DC and 1 CH.) *DC into the circle. CH 1.* Repeat 6 times. (You will have 8 DC and 8 CH, including the CH 4). SL ST into the first ST. Fasten off your yarn.
Round 2. Attach your yarn to any CH-space. CH 3 ( CH 3. Counts as a DC).
- Make a Popcorn ST as follows: 3 DC into the CH-space. Take out the hook and insert it into the top of the CH 3. Place the loop from the last ST on the hook and pull it through the loop on the hook. CH 3.
- * 4 DC into the next CH-space. Take out the hook and insert it into the first of the 4 DC. Place the loop from the last ST on the hook and pull it through the loop on the hook. CH 3. * Repeat from *-* into every CH-space. (8 Popcorn ST + 8 x CH 3) SL ST into the first ST. Fasten off your yarn.
Round 3. Attach your yarn to any CH-space. CH 3 ( CH 3. Counts as a DC).
- Make a Cluster ST as follows: Yarn over and insert the hook into the CH-space. Pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops. Yarn over again. Insert the hook and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops. Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on the hook. CH 2.
- Make 1 more Cluster ST into the same CH-space as follow: *Yarn over and insert the hook into the CH-space. Pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops. Yarn over again. Round 4. Attach your yarn to any CH-space. CH 3 ( CH 3. Counts as a DC).
- Make 2 DC into the first CH-space. CH 1. *3 DC in next CH-space. CH 1* Repeat from *-* 1 more time.
- You will now make the corner of the square. Make 3 TRC. CH 2. and 3 more TRC into the next CH-space.
- You will now make the second side of the square. *Make 3 DC into the next CH-space. CH 1.* Repeat from *-* 2 more times.
- Repeat the last two steps untill You have 4 sides and 4 corners in the sqaure.
- Make a SL ST into the first ST and fasten off the yarn.
