Instructions
Chain 62
Row 1. dc in 2nd chain from the hook and next 2 ch. Dc 2 in next ch. *Dc in next 3 ch. Dc 2 in next chain*. Repeat from *-* across row. Dc in last 4 ch. (74 st.) Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2. Dc in first 4 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 4 st. Dc 2 in next st.*. Repeat from *-*across row. Dc in last 4 st. Make 1 extra dc in last st. (89 st.) Chain 1 and turn.
Row 3. Dc in first 5 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 5 st. Dc 2 in next st.*. Repeat from *-*across row. Dc in last 5 st. Make 1 extra dc in last st. (104 st.) Chain 1 and turn.
Row 4. Dc in first 6 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 6 st. Dc 2 in next st.*. Repeat from *-*across row. Dc in last 6 st. Make 1 extra dc in last st. (119 st.) Chain 1 and turn.
Row 5. Dc in first 7 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 7 st. Dc 2 in next st.*. Repeat from *-*across row. Dc in last 7 st. Make 1 extra dc in last st. (134 st.) Chain 1 and turn.
Row 6. Dc in first 8 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 8 st. Dc 2 in next st.*. Repeat from *-*across row. Dc in last 8 st. (148 st.) Chain 1 and turn.
You are now done with your increasing rows of the bodice of your dress. You now have to shape the bodice and armholes of your dress.
Row 7. For row 7. You will be working into the back loop only. Dc in first 24 st. (These will be the one side of your back piece). Chain 6 and skip 26 st. (This will be the armhole on one side). Dc in next 48 st. ( This will be your front piece). Ch 6. Skip 26 st. (This will be the other armhole ). Dc 24 ( This will be the other side of your back piece). (108 st.)
You will now gather your work and continue to work in rounds.
Round 8. Gather your work by making a sl st. into the first st of previous row. Start row 8. by making an invisible dc seam. (Do this each time you start a new round.) Dc in every stitch across round 8. (108 st.)
Round 9. Gather your work with a sl st. into first stitch of previous round. *Dc into the next 2 st. dc 2 into next stitch*. Repeat from *-* across row 9. (144 st.)
Round 10. Gather your work with a sl st. into first stitch of previous round. Dc into every stitch around. (144 st.)
Round 11-36. Repeat row 10. (144 st.)
Ruffles on bodice
The ruffles are worked into the front loop that you left unworked in in row 7.
Row 1. Attach your yarn to the first st. of row 7. Ch. 2. Dc in front loop of first st. Dc 2 in next st. *Dc i next st. Dc 2 in next st.* Repeat from *-* across row.
Round 2. Gather your work with a sl st. into first stitch of previous round. Start row by making a n invisible dc seam. (Do this each time you start a new round.) Dc in first st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 2 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Repeat from *-*across row.
Round 3. Gather your work with a sl st. into first stitch of previous round. Dc in first st. Dc 2 in next st. * Dc in next 3 st. Dc 2 in next st. * Repeat from *-*across row.
Round 4. Gather your work with a sl st. into first stitch of previous round. sl st. in every st. across row. Finish off by making sl st into first st. og the round. Cut your yarn and fasten off.
You will now make a nice finished edge of the bodice back opening and neckline. At the same time you will make your buttonholes.
Attach your yarn into the bottom of the opening in the back of the bodice. Sc 5 st into the edge of the opening on the left side. Chain 4. skip 1 st. Sc 5. Chain 4 skip 1 st. Sc into the top of the neck line. Sl st. all the way around the neckline. Sc into the edge of the other side of the back opening. Finish off with a sl st into the first st of the round. Cut and fasten off your yarn.
Sew in all the ends and sew in your buttons precisely on the opposite side of your buttonholes
