Magnolia Crochet Baby Cardigan.I am very proud to present my new design, which I have chosen to call the Magnolia Crochet Baby Cardigan. Because the Stitch pattern in the shoulder piece with the little puff stitch flowers reminds me a bit of the magnolia flower.
This cardigan is ultra soft and comfortable, as it is crocheted in the most beautiful Baby Merino yarn from Drops Design. And the stitch pattern in which it is crocheted gives a very light weight, and at the same time neat and dense fabric, which I just love.
The cardigan is crocheted in one piece from the top down, so there no assembly work in this pattern.
You can use the free pattern below for size 3-6 months as much as you like. If you want to crochet the cardigan in other sizes, you can buy the pattern as a printable PDF file with all 4 sizes from 3-18 months included: MAGNOLIA BABY CARDIGAN SIZE 3-18 MONTHS

Front and neck edges + buttonholes
Attach your yarn at the opening of your cardigan at the left bottom. Make a SC from the bottom of the opening up to the neckline. Start from the front. Make 2 SC from the side of each DC row. And 1 SC from the side of each SC row.
When you get to the neckline, you will make 3 CH and turn your work.
Skip next 2 ST. (This makes up your first buttonhole). SC in the next 8 ST. CH 2. Skip 2 ST. *SC in the next 8 ST. CH 2. Skip 2 ST. * Repeat from *-* across the row until you have 6 buttonholes in total.
Attach your yarn to the opposite side of the opening. Make 2 rows of SC at the edge of the opening. Start from the front.
CH 1 and turn your work so that you are working on the front side of your cardigan.
You now have to make a round of SC all the way around the edge of your cardigan, to give it a beautiful finish. The edge should go all the way around the neckline and the hemline. Make 2 SC in each corner.
When you get to the buttonholes, make 2 SC into the buttonhole.
Sew in your buttons on opposite side from the buttonholes.
