Instructions
Round 1.
- Start with a magic ring. (Alternatively, ch 4 and sl st to form a ring.)
- Ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), dc, ch 1—repeat 6 more times.
- Sl st to the top of the starting ch 3 to join. (You should have 8 dc with ch 1 spaces between.)
Round 2.
- Sl st into the next ch-1 space. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), make 3 more dc in the same space. Remove hook from loop, insert hook into first dc of the group, pull the loop through to form a popcorn stitch.
- Ch 2. Make a popcorn stitch (4 dc, pull loop though first st) in the next ch-1 space, ch 2—repeat 6 more times.
- Sl st to the top of the first popcorn stitch to join. (You should have 8 popcorn stitches with ch 2 spaces between.)
Round 3.
- Sl st into the next ch-2 space. Ch 2 (counts as first part of 3 dc together), 2 dc together into the same space.
- Ch 3 (corner space). 3 dc together into the same space (corner).
- Ch 2, 3 dc in the next ch-2 space, Ch 2 (side)
- 3 dc together in the same space, ch 3, 3 dc together into the same space (corner).
- Repeat the last 2 steps around for all 8 spaces.
- Sl st to the top of the first st to join. (You should have 4 corners.)
Round 4.
- Sl st into the next corner space. Ch 2, 2 dc together, ch 3, 3 dc together (corner).
