Crochet Baby Shoes are so fun and quick to make. They also make the perfect maternity gift, or a perfect gift to give to charity for hospitals and much more. Once you start making these cute little shoes, you’re addicted and you will want make more and more 🙂
These shoes are perfectly nice and soft to wear next to sensitive baby skin, as they are made in very soft Drops Cotton Merino. The shape and firmness of the shoe makes it fit very well on little feet, and the straps ensures that the shoes stay on the feet.

Gauge
10 ST = 5 cm.
Abbreviations
- ST – Stitch
- CH – Chains
- SL ST- Slip stitch
- SC- Single crochet
- HDC- Half double crochet
- HDC INC – Half double crochet increase ( Half double crochet 2 in the same ST.)
- HDC DEC – Half double crochet decrease ( Half double crochet 2 together)
- DC- Double crochet
- DC DEC – Double crochet decrease ( Double crochet 2 together)

Instructions Size 0-3 months
The Sole
CH 10
Round 1. HDC INC in the 2nd CH from the hook. HDC in next 7 CH. HDC 6 in the last CH. ( You will now work on the opposite side of your Chains). HDC in nest 7 CH. HDC INC in the last ST, which is the same as your starting CH. (24 HDC) SL ST in first ST. CH 1.
Round 2. HDC INC in first 2 ST. HDC in next 7 ST. HDC INC in next 6 ST. HDC in next 7 ST. HDC INC in last 2 ST. (34 HDC) SL ST in first ST. CH 1.
Round 3. *HDC INC in first ST. HDC in next ST. * Repeat from *-* 1 more time. HDC in next 7 ST. *HDC INC in next ST. HDC in next ST*. Repeat from *-* 6 times total. HDC in next 7 ST. *HDC INC in next ST. HDC in next ST. * Repeat from *-* 1 more time. (44 HDC). SL ST in first ST. CH 1.
The main part
Round 4. HDC in every ST around. (Work into back loops only). (44 HDC). SL ST in first ST. CH 1.
Round 5. HDC in next 16 ST. *HDC DEC in next ST. HDC in next ST.* Repeat from *-* 6 times total. HDC in last 10 ST. (38 ST) SL ST in first ST. CH 1.
Round 6. HDC in next 15 ST. DC DEC 6 Times. HDC in last 11 ST. (32 ST) SL ST in first ST. CH 1.
Round 7. SC in every ST around. Fasten of and cut your yarn.
The Strap
Attach your yarn to the side of the edge, of the shoe. About in the middle.
CH 12. DC in the 3rd CH from the Hook and next 9 CH (10 DC)
Attach the strap to the shoe, by making a SL ST into the edge of the shoe.
Sew in your Button on the opposite side of the shoe.
You can now close the strap, using one of the the holes between your DC ST as buttonholes.
Make the shoe for the other foot in same way as the first one, but make sure to make strap on the opposite side for the second shoe, so that you have a left and a right shoe.
