The peephole chevron stitch is a beautiful crochet stitch that creates a zigzag pattern with small openings or “peepholes” along the way. The Crochet Peephole Chevron Stitch easy to make, and the project is suitable for beginners. The pattern is crocheted in double crochet stitches, chains. I will show all of these types of stitches slowly and in detail in this video so everyone can join.
Instructions
- Begin by chaining a multiple of 10 stitches, plus 2 additional chains for the turning chain.
- Work 1 double crochet in the third chain from the hook, and then work 1 double crochet in each of the next 3 chains.
- Skip the next 2 Chains. Work 1 double crochets in each of the next 4 chains.
- Chain 2, and then work 1 double crochet in each of the next 4 chains.
- Skip 2 chains, and then work 1 double crochet in each of the next 4 chains.
- Chain 2, and then work 1 double crochet in each of the next 4 chains.
- Repeat steps 4-6 until you have 6 stitches left of the row.
- Skip the next 2 chains and work 1 double crochet in each of the last 4 stitches. Work 1 more double crochet into the last stitch.
- Chain 3 and turn your work. (Chain 3 will coundt as a double crochet).
- Work 1 double crochet in each of the next 3 stitches.
- Skip 2 stitches and work 1 double crochet in the next 3 stitches.
- Work 1 double crochet. Chain 1, and 1 more double crochet into the same chain space.
- Work 1 double crochet into the next 3 stitches.
- Skip 2 stitches and work 1 double crochet in each of the next 3 stitches.
- Repeat rows 12 to 13. untill you have 5 Stitches left of the row.
- Skip the next 2 stitches, and work 1 double crochet into the next 3 stitches.
- Work 2 double crochet into the top of the chain three from the previous row.
- Repeat the last row untill you have reached the desired lenght of your work.
